Movie Review: Hotel Transylvania 2

First off, sequels in animated movies tend to never live up to our expectations and this time around I am here to let you that, that is most certainly not the case!

I mean when you say Adam Sandler obviously you think funny, but this just blew my mind. It was hilarious!!!!!!
And to top it of the best part of it all was the Fifth Harmony soundtrack.

I am most definitely not a Fifth Harmony fan. The total time I have allocated towards listening to their songs in all my life would amount to less than five minutes. But there's something about five monsters belting it out to Fifth Harmony's "Worth It" that brings a whole new light in to the situation. Long story short, it is now with out a doubt......

THE BEST SONG EVER!!!!!

And is it me or did Dracula's accent get a whole lot funnier? And the jokes got way funnier too.

Without ruining the plot let me just brief you on the specifics,

-Mavis had a son.
-And Drac's pretty adamant in making sure that the kid is a "proper" monster.
So how do you know that a movie is great? It's when the credits roll on and your stomach still aches from laughing too much...

...Well in that case this was most definitely, worth it.

Reunions

What is it about reunions that bring out the worst in mankind????????

Now you must have noticed that I am not your typical pink and lace and tooth fairies kinda girl (if that even is a thing....) In fact I am the complete bloody opposite of that! But ever since I heard about my high school reunion, if you can even call it that since it hasn't even been a 3 months since I graduated but anyway, as I was saying all I could think of is_

Holy cow I'm fat!!!!!!!!!

Oh humanity, let's pray that there is still hope for you somewhere out there.........

Exams: The aftermath

So I had my IDB exams…you know the one that goes with that god awful assignment? Yep that’s the one!

Calm down calm down if everything went smoothly I wouldn’t have to blog about it. Plus the day I actually manage to do something without colossally blotching it up at the same time is the day that Yoda starts talking in active voice.

  • First my calculator didn’t work and of course I had Business Mathematics – which is basically a fancy way of saying I had a regular maths paper (yey me!) but I got to borrow my sisters one, so my panic attack lasted for about 30 seconds or so.

  • And of course it wouldn’t be me if I actually read the time table like a proper human being and GOT THE FREAKING TIME OF THE EXAM CORRECTLY…long story short I ended up thirty minutes late for the paper….p.s. I got the location wrong as well and had to run from one building to another, which also contributed to the 30 minutes mentioned above_ like I said, long story.
But that turned out to be fine as well since I ended up finishing the paper an hour early anyway….

  • To top it all off I forgot to take my I.D…TO A PUBLIC EXAM!!!!!! and had to spend about 20 minutes before and during each paper explainig why moi a student from Kandy could not go back and bring my I.D. for the next paper since the exams were in Colombo and my wallet was in my nightstand drawer back in Kandy… oh why oh why do I do this to myself???

Any way I was able to escape from that little pickle by calling the back and getting my I.D. number and all (of course I don’t remember my I.D. number…have you met me?)
At least I think it’s been resolved… I’ll let you know in two months when all my friends get there results and I get a form that says:

Too stupid to bring identification card so we couldn’t possibly have bothered.

Exams: The joy -_-

Heya ma peepes, so I'm in Colombo for my exams for the next two days and well surprise surprise it’s going to be hell… I wonder why I despise studying so much… maybe because I try to cram in too much in to a small window of time (yey me!!!!!!!!!)

And knowing how easily I'm distracted I decided to leave behind my books and music and any sort of item that would allow me an iota of enjoyment so that all I will be able to do is study.

Buuuut guess what? Turns out I'm way too smart for my own good so instead of studying here I am blogging……..

Kids…………….learn from me.

THE SWORD OF TRUTH: WIZARD'S FIRST RULE

Finally finally read the sword of truth!!! I am fully aware that I am a couple years too late to jump on the sword of truth band wagon. But hey nobody’s perfect.

Can you believe that somebody actually had to recommend the book to me?!?! As if a fellow sci-fi enthusiast could have survived for eight…oops nineteen years without discovering Terry Goodkind!

Yeesh I'm losing my touch.

Anyway if you have an inkling of my personality down by now this will come as no surprise…

I looooooooooooooved it!

So the story takes place in a mythical world that is full of magic… well part of it is anyway and the protagonist is from the part that isn’t. Richard is a woods guide (which is magical fantasy novel lingo for tour guide) and he’s been venturing deep in to the forest ever since the brutal murder of his father in order to find out any possible leads.

It’s during one of these strolls that he runs in to Kahlan, who is followed by some questionable individuals. After the daring rescue Kahlan explains to Richard that she is from the Midlands (a magical part of the world) and she is here in Westland (the non-magical part of the world) in search of the great wizard who had gone in to hiding long ago.

Soon after the plot of the story - which is basically how the evil Darkn Rahul from  d’Haara (another magical place) plans to enslave all of mankind – is revealed. And what is a smart good looking protagonist to do when a girl tells him such a horrifying story?????

He decides to help her.

If you haven’t read the sword of truth yet I suggest you do ASAP. I already feel like the biggest moron on the face of this planet for not knowing about this sooner.

You know how when you are done with a book and you’re happy that everyone finally got what they had been searching for and now happily ever after was finally within their grasp? But at the same time you are also kinda sad about finishing the story and kinda feel like you have nothing else to do in life???  Anybody?

Nobody?

Just me then….humph.

Well you don’t have to worry about that because there is an astounding sixteen sequels to the sword of truth (though some of them maybe prequels I think) basically what I am trying to say is that I am going to be pretty busy for some time.

Geronimo!

I think I have finally become a proper geek! Okay let me rephrase that. I mean I have always been a geek. Star Wars, Lord of the Rings I love it! Every single second of it.

And now add Doctor Who to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is quite frankly freaking awesome!

I mean the first season was a bit iffy but after that it was...well brilliant actually.

I just finished season 6 like 2.5 seconds ago and I've got a ridiculous grin on my face (which is never a good sign now is it?)

Matt Smith is frankly remarkable.

Best doctor ever!!!!!!!!!!!

The guy says Geronimo for Pete sake! How can you not fall for the guy?!?!

And don't get me started on the bow ties...Ah-dorable!

I’m kinda dreading season 7 because I know he’ll be done after that and I don’t think my heart can take it…….

And Amy Pond is by far the best companion ever!!!!!!

What’s up with these companions btw? I mean one minute the doctor is like braving an entire fleet of Daleks to make sure they make it back to dinner on time, and the next minute they’re yesterday’s news.

And Riversong!!!! Don’t get me started on her…loooove her! I know she’s going to end up stuck in a library database and all (crappiest ending ever!!!) and I told myself not to get attached but I couldn’t help it, she’s…. well she’s hell in high heels hehe….

So shout out to the geeks, would-be-geeks and regular mortals out there…watch Doctor Who you’re definitely missing out!!!!!

Thanx For 2

Anybody Know what is o special about today?
Anybody???
Hellooooooo?!?!

Well allow me to enlighten you apart from it being the 9th of November and thus being my birthday and me turning the being 19 which means that I am all the more closer to my inevitable death...yeeeesh that took a turn for the dark.

What I am trying to say is that 2 years ago today I started this blog .... well for no particular reason actually. I just wanted to voice the millions of thoughts jumbled up in my head and while I my not be a hot-shot-super-duper blogging aficionado I really do love it.

As you may have (or may not have) noticed I've been writing more frequently these days and that because this blog has sort of become a journal for me......

So apart from me being forced to face my own dwindling mortality I also want to say thank you.

Thank you for the past 2 years.

Thank you for putting up with my endless babble that almost always never makes sense.

And I am perfectly aware that I am simple expressing my gratitude to know one it particular (what with me having zero followers and all) but none the less......

Thank You.
